Brissac-Quincé castle

Accueil > Lieux touristiques > Brissac-Quincé castle

A magnificent castle awaits you! Higher than all the royal castles, that of Brissac, with seven floors and 204 rooms, deserves its nickname of giant of the Loire Valley. Acquired in 1502 by René de Cossé, first lord of Brissac, it is today the residence of the 13th Duke of Brissac. While the park offers magnificent viewpoints in the shade of hundred-year-old trees, the visit reveals a dazzling setting. Here there is a rivalry in beauty, gilded ceilings, precious furniture, and above all a delightful Belle Epoque theatre, dedicated to opera.
